Hi from Yorkshire
« on: October 28, 2017, 03:37:52 PM »
Hi everyone,
Pick up the 126 on Tuesday.
I've had a couple of 126's in the past and even had a 500 as a daily driver once.
Been looking for another for a couple of weeks when the wife suggested we go have a look at one locally thats been on ebay for a while, no intention of buying it.  Surprisingly it was in quite good nick. Madam thought it was nice an cute as they do. So when the sales guy comes over I made a really low offer thinking he would never accept it.  But one phone call later and its ours. Can't wait.
Cheers
Shaun

Hi I'm new here too. Did you buy the red one with the stripes over the bonnet and roof?
I sat on the right, then the left, now on the right again

Well that was a fun drive home.  I'd almost forgot how involved the driving is. but at least it did'nt overheat. Over shot a few traffic lights though.  Think the gearbox oil needs changing or is first gear straight cut ?
Started on the shopping list and the job list already ,
Cheers  Shaun

ps, yes it is the one with the stripes but they're not staying  !!!

Hi!
I saw you on the members map, I just picked up an ELX that will be a nice project, I'm just the other side of Leeds. Maybe give it a few months and we can have a meet up- there's quite a few of us gathering in our local area  :D
See you soon and good luck
