Engine Overheating and Oil Steam
«

Hello to everyone.
Greetings to everyone from Turkey. The engine is air cooled. Hot weather in Turkey. It's summer here. When the engine warms up, the oil steam comes out. The result is a thin layer of oil on top of the engine. What is your problem? What should I do?
Thanks

With temperatures going above 30C, make sure your oil is 20w40 or 20w50

Things to check
The Fan Belt is tight
The Thermostatic Flap is opening on the tinware
The rubber grommet where the plug leads pass through the tinware
Make sure the timing is correct, if over advanced that can cause overheating

Make sure the jumbo air intake hose is not split and sucking hot air from within the engine compartment.
