Reverse Eyed Spring Lowers Front By 30mm
« on: December 03, 2006, 12:54:33 PM »
I had my front spring refurbished and made into reverse eye by these guys, they did a good job and it works well, and it cost less than half the price of importing one, around 50/60quid

P.S. I forgot to add this lowers the front of the car by 30mm

And one question from me:
Is the last leaf spring just up-side down or they have bend both ends of it to make eyes higher? (I cannot see on the foto)

no special tools needed Matt, a couple of jacks, axel stands, and common sense, be very careful, you must support the spring at each end.

As for the spring Mali, they strip it down and re-temper/bend the bottom leaf, with the eyes on top, then reassemble it.

Thanks!

I am just bit worried that leaf can crack near eyes. I'll wait and see if it will.

If nothing happens I'll do the same to mine

Hi MaLi, the only thing i can say is that these guys have been making and refurbishing springs for the motor trade for years and have all the equipment to do the job properly
