Pump and regulator leaked took all apart, tried everything I could then cured with PTFE tape (thanks for the tip).
Then couldn't get it to pump at all. (battery was dead) At last sorted out.
Couldn't get it to run well (full choke only, stalled if I touched the gas) so re-manufactured carb fitted, leads, points, condenser, plugs. Timing checked.
Then it turned over but wouldn't fire Aghhhhhh! Back to square one, no spark ( After a lot of head scratching and a few strong words) Turned out to be the brand new condensor, old one put on and she runs.
