I remember years ago there were loads of these around but not any more, dwindling away like all the great Fiats!
I would like to know more information on the engine and gerbox set up? It's a rear engine set up so is it similar to the 126 setup?
A transplant is come into mind! :roll:

No mate the 127 was fiats fiest venture with front wheel drive and transversley mounted engine and gearbox.It was fitted previously fitted in the autobianchi primula in the mid sixties to judge customer reaction before the fiat badge was fitted.God im sad!!!!!!!!

Heres another fact.The guy who designed the 127,I think his name was Pio Muzzi was killed on his way to the cars launch while driving from Rome to Turin in his 500.I really am an anorak.

I thought the 128 was Fiats first front drice car? Came out in I think 1969.
1987 Fiat 126 FSM, alloys, clear lights, Polish tat accessories... love it!

yes Paul, i think i have read that in my fiat history book! was he testing the 500? and he had a head on with a lorry! terrible! what puts my mind at ease is knowing  how those italians drive  :lol: Hopefully if we all take it easy and keep the spare wheel in the front, we should be ok  :D

Your right fiatfsm 128 was first :D same layout as 127.Great little chuckable cars.127 and 128 are rare as hens teeth over here(as are all seventies fiats)they used to assemble them in Cork. :wink:

well who ever has paid that, im sure its gone to a good home! might even see it at a few shows! hopefully they will join the fiat GB Club!

i find it incredible how you get mints like these still about afer all thsoe years! its not as though you can just forget about a camper van in your garage  :lol:

Erm Paul theres about to be another 127 over here, I've just bought an orange mk2 Sport. I hope to have it home in the next couple of weeks.
