Had it so long and trimmed it so much it is hard to tell, but probably about three years.

Did you get a lot more water out?

Have you thought of renaming Beryl the Torrey Canyon?

Your car is a star!!!! Presume they are still after the culprits.

I took the photo on my Mobile phone, then sent it to the local paper. I must admit, pretty impressive picture for a mobile taken in the dark.

Pleased to make the front page though. It says they are looking for the owner of a red Corsa, seen in the area.

So they are doing something then. It is a good pic considering.

I have just heard about this - utterly shocking. I'm really sorry to hear about it. I can't offer much in the way of help but if there is anything I can do, let me know. :(

Great news. Essex Police sent me a lovely letter, telling me they are looking for my stolen car. If the hear anything they will contact me, Should I hear any information I should contact them.

I went to my local Police station to ask if they:-

A) read the local paper
B) remember what they were doing on Christmas day
C) Have any bloody idea what their job is.

Sadly the Police station is closed at the weekend.

My faith in the police lessens by the hour.

a tip for your engine, remove the sump, clean the oil filter out, replace both and run some 'cheap' oil through it with the starter motor only. Repeat the process and you should have most of the water out.

SO SAD, makes me very angry.   >:(
Hopefully they are feeling very guilty. It was probably some bored, scared kids showing off to each other and none of them really wanting to do it in their own minds. that's the sad thing, it's just stupidity that will be regretted. no reason for it at all.
I hope Beryl makes it... lovely Fiat we don't want to lose.
It makes me want to booby trap my car... like home alone. I wonder if there is a way of fitting a taser so that thieves get a nasty shock???
I drive on Button Moon...

She is going into a friends body shop. He has an oven for her to warm up a bit and dry out.

Engine was drained, overfilled with new oil and is turned over by hand daily.

Next job is sort out the wiring, I spent so long sorting out  That got pulled out of the dash.
