I also reported the car.

I notice the auction has now been removed. I am sure the car will be back.

Blimey the Italian that remembers this on the production line has disappeared. The Ferrari limited edition has also gone.

My guess is it will still sell for over £2500, as past bidders will bid again.

He's changed the listing, it only refers to the limited edition in the title. If he is making one off bambino models that's fine. He has lost all of the Italian correspondence and the practical classics link. But it is still advertised as a non existent car. He's still saying that it's Italian and not specifying the engine mods . Perhaps we should all start phoning him  :P .  Have reported it again, it looks like a good car under the vinyl, why does he feel the need to mislead people.

I'm guessing Flea-Bay gave him a slapped wrist.
I wasn't impressed with the blatant lies, but I think it's down to the buyer now. If I were spending circa £2000 on a car, I would be checking these little details before handing over any cash

Blimey someone paid £3100 for a Polish 126 with added Vinyl stickers.

To be honest the car looks like a good 126. It is just a shame that the Seller was not honest about the fact the car is not what he is selling it as.

I am also waiting to hear from the new owner, unless it was bought to sit as a centre piece for a shop window.

It will probably reappear on ebay in the not too distant future with the same seller. He probably bid on the car under a different account, to bring up the price. The seller probably won it the last time.

I told him about the forum a few times.
I asked for photos of engine, no reply.
I asked for info of the vin plate he promised to look but told me the car was too far away to look.
He totally lied about the Italian that remembers the car well.

A number of members contacted him regarding the car.

Sorry but a cup of tea and a biscuit does not make up for a total pack of lies.

Common decency, he would have replied to the number of questions he received.

I agree with Dajwid, I asked a lot of the same questions and got no relevant reply, just lies. I also sent him a picture of his car when it was just a normal polish built 126. How naive is he? Does he believe it is a non existent special edition?

Hi orangemonkey,
Welcome to the forum there is no doubt that the car looks a stunning example, Unfortunately go into any car sales and the guy will always be your best friend :D They only see pound notes Lets face it that's there job ;D

There's nothing wrong with the car, But the Guy has been selling "Low Mileage Classic Cars" on Ebay for a while now so I don't believe that he would be that naive when he bought this 126 without official paperwork to substantiate what he posted in the Original Listing on Ebay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-126-1983-RARE-ITALIAN-FERRARI-RED-BAMBINO-EDITION-34-000-MILES-FROM-NEW-/330850960658?ViewItem=&ssPageName=VIP%3Awatchlink%3Atop%3Aen&item=330850960658&fromMakeTrack=true&nma=true&si=BcueU2w4BFUYXqlknxDsNJXB2Gc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Why would Fiat give a German Racing Driver a U.K. RHD 126 :D
