The condition of the car reminds me of Greenfly. The asking price is well and truly into the vintage 500 territory. At the asking price, one could buy a very nice (but not mint) vintage 500. Would you buy this beautiful example or a vintage 500. I do not want to start a war but I personally prefer the shape of the 126. Given the rapidly dwindling numbers of 126s about, perhaps 126s are starting to appreciate in value particularly for nice examples like this one.

I agree, part of owning something unusual is that there are not many about (or we would all have beetles and minis). I love the thought that after so many 126's were destroyed to keep 500's on the road that they may, one day, be of more value due to their rarity.

Unfortunately, the destruction of 126s continues not just here but also in Poland. I was approached by two Polish chaps that work for British gas. They were working close to were my 126 was parked. They have been living in the UK for the last 5 years and this was the first time they saw a UK 126. They said that there are still lots of 126s in Poland but many, unfortunately, are being neglected. Popularity of the car in Poland is waning. But they say, there is a still small but growing new wave of 126 enthusiasts in their home market. I hope it takes off in a big way soon.

few years ago was round 50 beside me apartments now only 1 left... hundreds gone on scrap... but now they comes back like 125, polonez but like young classic...
