Removing fan gubbins
« on: July 24, 2010, 07:38:26 PM »
I have a 126 engine in the back of a kit buggy, its completely open air, do you think it will run cool enough if I remove all the fan casings etc and just have the fins in open air? Also, I have some front hubs which apear to have a massive pcd, 150mm or so, any ideas? Thanks.

I sounds like whatever it is you have got there it is based on an early 594 ccs 126 that used the same PCD wheels as the 500 so you are extremely limited as to which wheels you can fit. You will also not get very far if you remove the fan & housing. Best to post a few pics if you are able  [-/

That is most likely because to go to 98 pcd on the front you will need to fit the later stub axle / hub & brake assembly from a 652 ccs 126.  [-/
