Red Wire

Hi,
Rebuilding my 1989 126 and i have this red wire that i cant locate where it connects to.
Must be something close to engine. Anyone know where it goes? See photo.

I recall there is a whole wire diagram ib the subscriber section of the forum. With wire colors etc. A little detective work there migt yeild something. Or try and run the car and see if everything is working

That looks like the starter solenoid wire.
You will have a wire bolted to the starter to provide cranking current. The one that is loose takes the feed from the ignition key.

Thanks Michael,
I have a maroon wire connected to the starter motor which corresponds with the wiring diagram.
So, I'm still trying to find out where the red wire goes. Cant locate it on the wiring diagram.
Would great if anyone knows wher it connects?
