Dont worry its very close now, I fitted it but the wide arm version wont clear the calipers so Im getting the narrow arm version instead soon, Im just waiting on my drive shaft tripods then ill get it ordered.

A quiet week awaiting parts so i've repainted the front calipers to match the shiny red rears and my driveshaft tripods arrived from piotross- next job is to pull off the irs on the front as the brake calipers are fouling it- dannypancho will be having that as he run drums and I will have to purchase a new set up with the narrow arms to clear the calipers! lots of pircs to come soon!

SO the new front suspension arrived today, I had to buy a new arm set up as the old one didnt allow for the disc caliper conversion and wouldnt allow full lock hopefully the new one will-


i didnt have alot of time to get it fitted today (work  ) but managed to get the coilovers in and test fit the arm set-up-

Alan came out of the garage on his wheels for the first time in a while today nice to see him in the day light so I thought a few photos would be nice-

I love what you have done to the car!!!!! How does the car drive with the new front suspension?

Yes, yes, yes, that's all very well, and I agree the stance is superb, and do you think he's realised he's forgotten the door handles, and the front view does indeed look stunning, that I grant you, and the wheels are all right I suppose if you like that sort of thing, and rivetted rear side windows *are* a little bit different and certainly more secure at high speed, it's true, but for *goodness'* sake, never mind all this technical design flattery and stuff...

What I want to know is:

why is 'he' called Alan? ? ?

heh heh indeed I always feel that the 126 is a little at odds with the modern world and doesnt give toss much like the protagonist in this cartoon from modern toss "bollocks to your BBQ yeah?"

sadly without brakes or fuel lines I couldnt tell you but thats the next stuff to do- I'll let you know soon..

I've obviously had too sheltered a life as never heard of Alan, before, and now having watched a few samples I'm not sure I want to !  Seems a tad unfair to categorise the 126  along with that cartoon scribble though. The 126 may not conform, but he carries on regardless of the suburban norms around him rather than trying to destroy them. Still, there can't be too many 126s (or cars of *any* description!) around called 'Alan'
